FOCG will make JPRG great again, looking forward to EDCON. Would love to connect with more JRPG fans! Nowadays, most players believe that the golden age of JRPGs began in the 1990s and ended in the early 21st century. During this period, the length of JRPGs ensured that creators could freely write intricate plots, while excellent storytelling techniques provided players with an immense sense of immersion. We must recognize that the once obvious advantage of game length creating narrative tension has now perhaps become a double-edged sword. The faster pace of life makes it difficult for players to spend such a long time on a single game. For the younger generation, the positive feedback provided by JRPGs is simply just too slow. This is where FOCG blends in, with turn-based, strategic nature and instant positive feedback by tokenomics (not necessarily monetary or ponzi scheme). Plus composability and UGC "箱庭" hakoniwa should be the word here.

Same as road movie concept, where the perspective narrows down to focus on the protagonist or the main group and uses their journey to gradually unveil the world, has perhaps become a "go-to tactic" for modern JRPGs. Really hope to see Dragon Quest 4 onchain and make JPRG great again onchain. Writing after playing Elden Ring and Shin Megami Tensei V.
