why are both important? because if you don't have collectors, there's not a steady, organic, real demand for the onchain content. and if you don't have the traders, there's significantly less economic activity that can drive flows of value to creators (and collectors). both.

an observation (that may come off as insensitive): some of the people with the strongest emotional reaction to the recent market downturn are those whose near-term lives won't materially change. no immediate plans to buy a home, retire, pay for school, etc. no liquidity needs, no LPs to whom they need to deliver.

I'm sympathetic to the developer neutrality point, but there is now a provably permissionless stack, the tech is credibly neutral. This wasn't the case a few years ago. my biggest concern with people in tech who spend all day shouting on the internet is that many of them spend very little time talking to the people actually critical to society: doctors, firefighters, police officers, construction workers, mechanics, farmers, chefs, baristas, mailmen, janitors, retail workers, etc.
