Yea - very few djs play R Kelly these days even though Remix to Ignition is a banger. I think people are generally more accepting of music from controversial artists who are dead (ex: MJ). 

Enjoying it feels like an endorsement of the bad behavior. Kanye apologists seem to think otherwise though.

I’m someone who really likes Kanye’s music but the shit he’s been saying I don’t agree with and that has been making me share his music less. I can’t just turn a blind eye, it’s not just about the music, who the artist is matters a lot to me.

ah gotcha. I don't really mind if art or music was created by an ai as long as its good. The best stuff will always have a creative human in the loop until AGI.

Wow. Ok. You took it to a place that I was not considering (or intending) when I asked the question. I was thinking about the value of music tyhat is created by humans vs. music created by humans collaborating with algorithms/AI, not about a particular artist over another.
