I sympathize with people who think Farcaster is too insular & nerdy.

That was my initial reaction too until I remembered every big tech movement starts with a small cult of nerds.

that was the big time vibe pre-channels. altho for me it was more so an intimidation from it than a knock on FC being too insular itself

now it’s super easy to find at least few channels for non-technical things you love (+ can still lurk the more nerdy channels✋😌)

I'm new but feels like engagment game 90% of time, then stumble across a real cast/discussion and have to switch gears.

People who were pretty active here earlier than ~6 months ago are getting compounded engagement. 

Guessing it’s because rewarding authentic accounts while suppressing bots is a really difficult challenge.

My issue is more it's so hard to get engagement. Feels like talking to the void... 
but it's probably my content 😩

I recently came out as nerd to my friends and family. They say they always knew.

"with a small cult of nerds" ... changed to ... "with a small cult of WELCOMING nerds"

i think just as appropriate
