It’s a hard dependency unfortunately. Until there is a battle tested decentralized reputation score, I need to rely on it to prevent sophisticated airdrop farmers from ruining the fun.

is there a better system available than power badge to handle the spam/farming problem?

i was a day 1 buyer and LP provider for a token and now am banned from getting the rewards i have accrued because Merkle Manufactury has the power to black-ball us with zero recourse.

You can still get the rewards next month if you regain the badge. They only get purged after 2 months (i haven’t even finished the code to do that yet). I might switch to airstack’s score by then but no promises.

Your first sentence says it’s harder to game, but the second sentence says people are gaming it. I’m confused. 🙃

I think openrank is far better and significantly harder to game and manipulate. We are already seeing useless viral rank frames to game the openrank points.
