Mel Gibson, an American director, actor, producer and writer, was born in New York in 1956 and like Marlon Brando, he started his artistic career at the age of 20. Mel Gibson hasn't won an Oscar for acting yet, but in 1996, he was able to win the best director and best movie of the year awards for his movie Braveheart.
