Yep, this map has the problem of considering that the countries are either one or the other. That is not true. I was born in Nigeria in Africa and they have solely Jus Sanguinis, which got me in a funny situation cause non of my parents have even a single drop of Nigerian Blood, but I could either receive my Dad’s Country Nationality (which is Brazil) or my mom’s (Colombia), because both countries are both (Jus Soli & Jus Sanquinis).

Most countries that are Jus Soli are also Jus Sanguinis, while it’s not always true the other way around.
