The fundamental issue with consumer crypto today is lack of consumers. 

Consumers need interesting or entertaining content to stick around.

Sign ups are irrelevant if you can’t retain them.

Everything else is a marginal improvement at best.

Do you consider any data that shows today’s growth within Farcaster’s engagement as slow or dropping, related in any way to the fact that we are undergoing a bear market, specially with everyone in a state of worry with the world going through a strong recession? 

I can only imagine we would be seeing very different numbers, with the majority of people excited with crypto, in general, while going through a Bull Market, which historically, is yet to come.

Of course! 

That’s absolute not what I’m suggesting. Of course any effort to tune that page while we are in the worst scenario, which is a crypto bear market and global fear of recession which leads to people moving out of what they consider risky investments, is very welcome. And any advances in this scenario mean much more than in a crypto Bull Marker, because they will be multiplied in effectiveness during a Bull Market.

I’m merely suggesting that any data showing drops or lack of engagement is not to be taken personally. It’s a reality all around. 

That being said, this is the scenario where every victory is really meaningful.

Can’t sit around waiting for the market. Have to keep making progress.
