Feature request: mute channels

Feels like the right time with the meme coin traction. I already unfollowed a bunch of people, but it’s still annoying.

I agree with this, and since I don’t think we will get this feature anytime soon, it’s time for me to unfollow a bunch of channels and users.

@dwr.eth I’m following your advice to unfollow channels and users, but what can we do about this feature? It’s annoying that it’s being forced on me. I get that it’s useful for new users, but it really bothers me.

I just unfollow instead of mute. I use the mute button only when I think an account is fake or truly a bad actor.
