Some fun facts: There are approx 10,000 active users in the music channel. Out of these, around 900 to 1,000 users have made 10 or more root casts, while about 8,300 users have made 10 or fewer root casts

Identifying which of the 10k active accounts are legitimate users vs spam or bot accounts is crucial, even more so than encouraging the 8,300 users to cast more. With the upcoming channel update, my understanding is that channel owners will need to manually invite members. The last thing I want is to withhold membership from someone who has been contributing positively. 

I'm also unsure how this new model will work for identifying new users on the network who should be considered for channel invitations. For example, if I joined FC today, how would you know whether to invite me to the channel if I'm not even able to cast in it to begin with?

very interesting -- what metric(s) do you think are the most important here? 

my first thought was, 'how do we get those 8300 people to cast more'
