Ah, this wasn’t about sound at all,  I mentally checked out there a while back but for reasons that apply to my overall distain for the new internet being built.  It all boils down to the loss of organic discovery, choice & effort replaced by being forced to fed taste you didn’t sign up for.  I don’t know why at what point in time all companies went this route, whether it be Digital Video streaming, music streaming, social, etc    Everyone decided to build with lazy discovery in mind.  It comes off insecure & pretty disrespectful that the concept of trusting humans can sort through information & choose what they enjoy without needing an RNG factor that either tries to predict your taste or force feeds what’s popular and active atm.    It’s a recipe for a bland world that loses diversity & the worst part is it’s a system that can and always is manipulated and gamed to boost / suppress.      So to me, it’s bigger than music, because I remember the world before this & no one likes this at all
