GPT4 should force everyone to update their priors. It works amazing well. A 2-3x improvement will actually exceed humans in most capabilities. That should force people to think hard about the near future.

As someone who rode the top of community enthusiasm, the trend has reversed quite significantly. Locations matter again. All the tourists are gone.

Interesting. That happened two years ago. Haven’t seen anything yet that would make me question that doing trials faster was a mistake? 1000s of papers have analyzed millions of people. I was against forced vaccine mandates but haven’t seen much against the vaccines

As far as timelines go - I worked with a bunch of biology researchers and found them to be slower to realize the true potential. Small sample size but the uptake is stratospheric once more people realize.

I read his take as more probabilistic than something that is certain. Read it as: Should you prepare for something that has an outside chance of happening? USD is strong but it’s not a crazy thought that it might not always be

He’s more or less been spot on in the things he’s said about bio x alphafold and more recently ESMfold. Used both those technologies and they are pretty effective.

Which we want to avoid in the first place. We want the option to exit and not having a follow graph is repeating the same mistake. Twitter Facebook are nothing without social graphs

farcaster://casts/0x...f4bb0a70ce Was asking this question elsewhere. I think you have to force people to publish follow graphs. I would rather err on the side of a weak signal (like a follow for a user preference) than having no signal at all. Not having the incentive to do so…will create client lock in…

How do we avoid client centralization even if the protocol is sufficiently decentralized? (Gmail for email for instance?)
