Just to be super clear... all these applause tips do is put you in the running to win a daily NFT prize.  You're currently in first place, but there's still 22 hours to go so you'll likely drop as more tips/votes come in.

Not only could you win NFTs (that will allow you to tip other people in future) but you get added to the Hunt Town daily leaderboard which means the Hunt Town community might see your post and click into it too... so I often vote big to get people good visibility when I like their content.
