I’m with TechCrunch—Spotify Wrapped 2024 felt underwhelming this year, even though sharing stats is still fun for most of us. Bit meh overall You getting better insights from some 3rd party tools if you want (I do). I also hate how they constantly push podcasts. Ed note: I like actually really like the DJ feature— it’s gotten better and does a decent job of discovery. It’s grown on me

Mine didn’t include any podcasts this year, maybe because I didn’t listen to many, or who knows. I’m with you, though, I wish they’d kept Anchor as a separate app for podcasts and audiobooks. I’ve been using last.fm lately, and it’s way more useful than Wrapped. Haven’t tried Spotify’s DJ feature in a while. Maybe it’s gotten better, but I’m still not sold on these black box algorithms. They really need to give us more control or at least explain how to tweak things to get better recommendations.
