Just looked at your emissions. With the investment you've put in. Did you really think your replyke would be 40 cents per, before we even hit November. This is vile.

That’s a lot of money for pressing three buttons. If everyone making moxie was actually using it within the ecosystem, all of our far scores and replykes would be around lot more and this would matter less.

This is true. Wonder how the new changes will pan out. Time will tell.

I still believe in moxie for the time being for two main reasons: 1) the tech stack actually works and creates and ecosystem that works very well with Farcaster 2) the team will eventually have to monetize their effort with their unlocked tokens - they are highly incentivized to make this as β€œsuccessful” as possible.

I agree with both points though I don't think they understand the space well enough to make it a success. Well that's what I am worried about. They seem tone deaf

What don’t you think they understand and are getting wrong, outside of reducing the free $?

No utility for moxie other than buying fan tokens. The premise was buy fan tokens to support your friends, what if your friends don't own fan tokens, how is that supporting them? And what other uses are there for Moxie that the average joe would be able to take advantage of/ be interested in? Their comms are awful, never made anyone aware of the emissions reductions until everyone was already locked in for 3 months. The rest of the issues I have relate to the top earners, but I spose that is out of the protocols control.

Some counterpoints for you around my own thesis and why I’m an invested LP contributor: Moxie is a more fundamental tipping token than Degen because it’s embedded within every interaction on the platform. It constantly surprises me when people say that’s not utility. Everyone is constantly trying to monetize their online presence on every social platform and to me, this is probably as seamless as it gets for a crypto native platform. I can’t think of another project on Farcaster that I’m aware of where the team has produced as many materials and live sessions as they have in the first couple of months either.

That is a fair point about the integration of tipping in interactions. But I think Moxie has made that too top heavy now. In degen, if I spoke to ghost or fry or wake, we would chat normally and they might tip me, maybe not. With Moxie it looms over your head sometimes when your score is low and someone elses is high. Either they don't reply and you feel like shit, or they reply and you feel like they are doing a favour by interacting with you. That imo isn't conducive to organic or production interaction. three people thanked me for my replyke the other day. It felt grim. I felt dirty.
