The lotus was and remains one of the most revered flowers in the East and is invariably accompanied by the prefix "sacred". In Ancient Egypt, the lotus symbolizes resurrection from the world of the dead, and the hieroglyph in the form of this flower meant the word "joy". The Phoenicians and Assyrians considered the lotus to be the flower of death, but at the same time it was not mournful, since it simultaneously meant a new life, directly arising from the one that ended. In Ancient China, the lotus flower with buds, flowers and seeds symbolizes the infinity of time - the past, present and future.
