What are you guys using nix for? I am using it for builds as well as managing configs on software.

I liked languages and I liked making things. Programming seemed like a nice intersection.

I do this too, monorepos are awesome. Repository-wide refactoring becomes much easier to do, where spread across multiple repos/versions it's a huge pain. I use a combo of nix/bazel instead of pure bazel though.

Definitely +1 on this for me, Prometheus / grafana have worked great for us where I'm working. The maintainers even create grafana cloud (paid managed version), and migrate to your own deployment if it gets big.

I use Loki/Prometheus/grafana and their oncall system at my company, it works great for us. We get the most mileage out of the counters/gauges in Prometheus, but we do use all of them. I will say that we have relatively few instances, and our application isn't web or a consumer product.

Is there a c++ community or any fans on farcaster yet?

Jokes aside, the pragmatic programmer I would have liked to read when I was younger (it had a lot of advice I eventually learned), and effective modern c++ was an awesome resource as well.
