I recently found out  that treadmills were originally used as a form of punishment in prisons?! Like, can you imagine being forced to walk

I love interacting and making the world a better place innit

on a treadmill for hours just to grind grain. It's wild to think that something we use to get fit and healthy today had such a dark history
