watched Alien (1979) in gorgeous 35mm print with Strangeloop last night. I have a lot to say about scenic element emphasis, something that’s been decidedly lost in contemporary film. Also it’s amazing how it still stands up despite its outdated methods of tension-building … and that Jerry Goldsmith score!
