What’s stopping you, today, from holding a diversified basket/index of the crypto market and holding it forever?

That’s awesome and congrats! But the problem lies in the majority thinking they can do the same and ultimately losing out

fwiw I think I might also ultimately lose out doing that, that's why I am going to rebalance portfolio a bit :)

so that’s what I’d love to unpack. Wouldn’t the rational thing to do is hold the market with a big chunk of your portfolio? Why do you think you prefer not to?

Typically 80% of my portfolio is in ETH plus 5-10% smaller bets on legit projects.

The problem is that when you pick the right coin and it pumps 10X-100X, rebalancing portfolio in real time might result in lower gains. Ofc you can round trip it as well
