hey @garrytan! How did building/running Initialized alter your approach to YC upon your return?

VC as an ecosystem and as a business is a pretty amazingly important (and much maligned) part of making startups work

Being able to understand intimately the hard parts of that job is useful because there is a lot YC can and should do to make that job easier and more successful.

It’s a growth mindset situation because the more money that goes to good companies the more success all the stakeholders have: YC, the founders, and the investors. It’s not an us versus them. Building a managed marketplace is the ultimate goal. Airbnb done right put a lot of chips in pockets.
