One talk on building a self-coding agent (like a Devin AI)

Setup is having tool use for your development stack (Linear, codebase access, Slack) as well as loops for human-in-the-loop interaction (clarifying) and self reflection. Some reflections from the team building it:

- AI coders are not L5 engineers yet. They've made aspects of coding easier, but don't handle other aspects of complexity well
- As code execution becomes abundant, good design and UI/UX become the bottleneck
- Foundation models have blind spots (especially for newish tooling) and you can use knowledge bases to patch them
- Coding agents are also good for adjacent tasks like writing announcements for updates to the codebase
