Building a social protocol on Solana feels like one of the bigger opportunities in crypto right now There's a few people exploring it but it feels like an obvious opportunity bc there's a decent amount of DAUs on Solana and it seems like the ecosystem that's growing the fastest in crypto

What benefits would being built on Solana have over something like Farcaster that is built on Ethereum (Optimism)?

It seems that Solana is onboarding users at a faster rate than ETH This is just my hunch. Haven’t dug too deep into the data so it’s anecdotal More daily activity and volume so easier to capture users/fees/value

What is "onboarding users" as it relates to adding users to a social network, regardless of which blockchain (read: database) it uses for storage?

If a platform (read: blockchain or database) is adding users relatively faster another then isn’t it more attractive to build on top of?

I don't see how it matters in the context of a social network, especially given the popularity of embedded wallets? Addresses are pretty meaningless at this point and they're easy enough to connect later if there's a reason to do so (like how you can connect any ETH or SOL address to Farcaster)
