some thoughts on $DEGEN and tipping:

after watching curiously from the sidelines for awhile, $DEGEN tipping (and the ensuing mania) is what originally pushed me to finally check out Farcaster in the first place. those days were unquestionably some of the best and most fun i’ve ever had on the Internet 🕺 1/

Very much agree with this take from @downshift.eth 

DEGEN tipping is a big part of what made the project attractive to so many but I do think that it's time to reconsider the tipping mechanics to ensure that it rewards value-add activity and engagement
