thought bitcoin was interesting. Ethereum / programmable $ was definitely fascinating but like... cool defi.

topshot was that lightbulb moment for me. Collected sports cards growing up, this was just owned culture but now on the internet.

NBA Top Shot was a big lightbulb moment for many and it wasn't even a permissionless system.  It was and still is a walled garden for the most part.
