If the creator minted/coined the video, would we see a drop off in derivative activity—e.g. memecoins on @base, /solana; other referential/in-joke coins on @zora etc? All of these platforms add up to hundreds of thousands (if not more) in market cap and on-chain activity. Would a creator-owned mint mostly accrue value centrally, and then have a second-order effect of taking away from derivative works? We're (finally) seeing a market where derivatives move fast enough to take on a life of their own, and bolster remix culture. I think there's a lot more to be done than "what if the content creator coined the video" and I'm looking forward to seeing what's next; but that requires an open mind. If creator royalties were the meta in 2021/22, we're finally at a point where artist/creator-owned communities can do much more, much easily, via recurring revenues/subs (cc @hypersub), streaming/instant-liquidity (cc @superfluid), having community ownership of a sequencer (cc @syndicate) or much much more!

Agreed but the biggest goal would be to create a more sustainable economic culture around remix culture i’m here for all the experimentation which could lead to something more consistent and sustainable
