Once you stopped posting on Instagram, people rarely go back and start posting actively again on their profile. Maybe an occasional story but that seems to be it. As IG started over-indexing on vanity, I think less and less people posted regularly and engagement accrued to more of the top 10% of accounts who put a lot of time and effort into their content. I want social to feel less pretentious and more authentic so that people just post and express themselves without having to think about appearances too much. More humanity, less glitz.

I been dumping shit on my stories again lately It's the only human part of the app imo Had a bunch of random exchanges with people I haven't talked to in years It also feels like the only feature that actively tries to show me my friends and not psyop algo feed me
