brother if $degen went back to its roots with allocations for people based on rankings / replies or whatever and stopped with the silly lock up / burn mechanisms or whatever I would be the first guy tipping all day every day 

I stopped because the rules kept changing and as a rule I’m against staking, period

it's not as simple as going back to the old system because that old system wasn't designed for a $100M memecoin

tipping worked because no one thought the tips were worth anything

as soon as tips became valuable, the reward to farm was too high and we fell into this endless cat and mouse game of policing tips that @bitfloorsghost.eth rightly points out has ruined the fun for everyone

but we can't just bring tips back as they were either

it's like Bitcoin mining, early on the difficulty was low but it ratcheted up as Bitcoin became more valuable 

the network would be destroyed if we took Bitcoin back to those low difficulty levels again

so how does DEGEN get saved? you need to find new HIGH DIFFICULTY ways to distribute the airdrops so they go to people that actually put in effort
