Top of mind

I’m tired of how criticism is automatically branded negative. 

Trolls hide behind the label of critic and people offer blind positivity just to stay inside the circle, then turn into apologists to protect their image. 

There’s no room for real discussion at all. You can’t be both supportive and critical

And any debate is replaced by sharp, dogmatic pronouncements on here

Nuance just completely disappears

And the more you align with the hive mind, the more praise you collect for simply being agreeable. I just don't get how that benefits the community or any community for that matter. 

This doesn't even begin to speak on the fact that while some of us can take L's and get treated like children with a wound, others make mistakes and are practically demonized indefinitely. 

I am lightly crashing out this morning because I work nearly fulltime, school fulltime, and try to do even more on top of that. So my sensitivity to everything is extremely high. Hair trigger response to BS right now

keep going. it gets better.

i love farcaster in part bc I think some of these things are mitigated here or at least better here.  it's not perfect by any means but generally I think people are more receptive and engaging here.
