Crypto: The Game

Didn’t make it tonight but I still had fun playing Crypto The Game

Proud to have made it to at least Day 8 in all 3 seasons

more thoughts below on how to improve and iterate on the game

1. Rework the voting - it’s frustrating that one errant vote can send you home. Probably good to keep this structure for some of the votes but i’d change up the voting mechanics for select days. I’d also penalize people for not voting on select days. 

It’s tough to go from 800 people to 1 winner in 10 days.

3. Alternate formats:

IRL version in NYC for a weekend or over a couple weekends. Scavenger hunt, online/offline challenges, etc.

Larger game format with purely mini-games and social voting over a longer time horizon with more off days.

Keep the 800 cap format but require people to earn a spot to play over a month leading up to the game. Still require a buy in but more pregame activities leading into it.

These are just some immediate thoughts but I’ve truly enjoyed playing every season

2. Reward Challenges - In survivor, there’s reward challenges for food/advantages/clues. I think some more mini-games for rewards would be a fun element. Maybe there’s a mini-game every day for rewards or potentially individual immunity on each tribe.
