after a few years full time crypto since transitioning from the family office space, i still feel culture shock re: most family offices earned their wealth through insane sacrifice to build a company VS most of (loud) crypto earned it by being early to click a button to me FC feels like the former, not the latter

That seems like a wildly narrow view for a social network that has ambitions to attract all kinds of people, no? Maybe you’re talking about the devs/builders on FC? Or the merkle team?

> wildly narrow view not really? this is not commentary about who FC wants to attract or its goals, ambitious etc it’s a commentary on mindsets and attitudes my sense is that most people here today (incl devs, builders, core team given some have been here for months and years) are long-term, willing to put in work

I agree. I guess I just thought it was a narrow analogy to compare to the whole of FC What do you think the closest social platform comparison to FC is? Early twitter?

hmmmm hard to compare to anything given social platforms were brand new primitives when they first came out and there weren’t any algos idk what early Reddit was like but maybe that? probably most like early crypto culture? like early Ethereum or Bitcoin? or any tech either a long time horizon
