Tumblr has this unhinged feature called Blaze where you can pay to promote someone else’s posts.

You can already do this with Paragraph and Zora but it’s not tied into the WC algorithm where it gets a distribution boost

Not exactly.  On Zora, you can boost mints where they're gasless for people to claim which is a form of paid promotion.

Both Zora and Paragraph have referral links where people get paid a portion of the mint fee for anyone who mints with their shared link
