Fenghuang Ancient Town is located in Hunan Province, China. It is renowned for its stilted houses and rich Miao and Tujia cultural heritage, making it an ideal destination for many art enthusiasts and backpackers. Fenghuang is also the hometown of the famous Chinese writer Shen Congwen. His novel Border Town introduced many to this 1,300-year-old town. The ancient town still retains its original layout and architectural structures. Over 200 traditional houses line the banks of its clear rivers, with 20 streets and 10 winding alleys. Most of these buildings date back to the Ming Dynasty.⚡ ⚡ ⚡
