A thought on Nouns… We sell a 1/n vote everyday. Each day = n+1. So when I bought Noun 189, it was 1/189. Today, if you buy Noun 1492, you’re getting 1/1492. Auction 189 = 0.529% vote Auction 1492 = 0.067% Double the DAO’s age… Auction 2984 = 0.033% So the thing we sell, our vote, is always getting smaller. Forever. The longer Nouns lasts, the less each new Noun matters. The auction flywheel doesn’t work. We need to stop thinking it will. ⌐◨-◨

Auction 189 = 89.89e Auction 1492 = ~2e So I can get 45 nouns for the cost of Noun 189 rn 0.067*45 = 3% Getting 6x the vote % for the same price - but 500 nouns are in treasury so ur actually more like 10x your vote for the same price. idk what this means but i feel bullish

the right things never arrived. the right things still aren’t arriving at our doorstep. after 4 years of experimentation i don’t see it changing, and believe the model is the issue. it was a crazy idea and a brilliant one. but it wasn’t to meet some demand or solve a problem. it was to see if an alternative to cryptopunks could be more successful if it had a treasury. and was launched in the frothiest market during peak euphoria.

too successful, too early = too much $ + like you say, the right things are yet to happen, im optimistic long-term. Culturally the impact is undeniable and many things would not exist rn if not for Nouns, +ve sum memetics lead to +ve sum mimetic desires imo - changing the world is not easy ofc
