A day after the tragedy, another liner, the Prinz Adalbert, set sail. The chief steward, while standing on board, noticed something strange on the iceberg his ship was passing by. He saw a huge red streak that looked like paint. Stuart took a photograph of the iceberg just in case, although the crew of the ship still knew nothing about the sinking of the Titanic. The photograph was captioned as follows: “The day after the sinking of the Titanic, the steamer Prinz Adalbert passed the iceberg shown in this photograph. We did not yet know about the Titanic disaster.” Red paint is clearly visible on one side, which looks like a scratch left by the ship on an iceberg".
