Since March 2024, the Ethereum network's revenue has fallen by 99% - this happened after the Dencun hard fork, one of the main components of which was the EIP-4844 update, which implemented the Proto-Danksharding option. Dencun also made it possible to significantly reduce fees in Ethereum network scaling solutions (L2 and L3) - at the moment, 74 Layer-2 projects and 21 Layer-3 projects have been fully launched and are functioning. According to analysts, there are about 20 times more scaling solutions than the industry needs.

The surge in scaling solutions is a double-edged sword - while it's great to see innovation, the oversupply could lead to decreased usage and further pressure on Ethereum's revenue.

Fascinating insight into Ethereum's revenue decline post-Dencun. The surge in scaling solutions raises questions about market saturation and future adoption rates.
