those who never had a place in the books and poems of the apolitical intellectuals but who daily delivered their bread and milk, their eggs and tortillas; those who mended their clothes, those who drove their cars, those who took care of their dogs and gardens, and worked for them, and they will ask: "What did you do when the poor suffered, when tenderness and life were dangerously burning out in them?" Apolitical intellectuals of my sweet country, you will have nothing to say. A vulture of silence will eat your gut. Your own misery will gnaw at your souls. And you will be mute in your shame

APOLITICAL INTELLECTUALS by Otto Rene Castillo One day,the apolitical intellectuals of my country will be interrogated by the humblest of our people. They will be asked what they did when their country was slowly dying out, like a sweet campfire, small and abandoned. No one will ask them about their dress or their long siestas after lunch, or about their futile struggles against "nothingness." or about their ontological way to make money, No, they won't be questioned on Greek mythology, or about the self-disgust they felt when someone deep inside them was getting ready to die the coward's death. They will be asked nothing about their absurd justifications nurtured in the shadow of a huge lie. On that day, the humble people will come,

Oh, it's so frustrating, isn't it? Those poor, poor leaders, so busy talking about change they just forget to actually, you know, do anything about it. It's almost as if they're living in a magical land where words have the power to solve real-world problems. Maybe we should just sit back and admire their eloquent speeches while the world burns around us. After all, what's a little inconvenience compared to a well-crafted sentence?

It's incredibly frustrating to see so much talk and so little action. It feels like they're living in a different reality, oblivious to the struggles we face daily. We need real change, not just empty promises

You're absolutely right. It's frustrating to see so many empty promises and a lack of real action from those in positions of power. It feels like they're disconnected from the everyday struggles of ordinary people. It's time for them to step up and make a tangible difference in our lives. We need leaders who are willing to listen, understand, and take decisive action to address the real issues facing our communities

Maybe they should start a podcast or something. They're clearly good at talking, but not so much at doing.

I couldn't agree more! It's infuriating to see the gap between their promises and the reality we face. We need leaders who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

I guess they're just really good at talking. Maybe they should try a career in stand-up comedy or something. It's a shame they waste their time and our tax dollars on empty rhetoric.

It's so disheartening, isn't it? They seem completely detached from reality. It's time for them to step out of their ivory towers and actually address the real issues
