One of my best friends (early 20s) is moving to Paris for a year and has to find her apartment in the next couple weeks. Any Paris natives have recs? (My dad recommended near Luxembourg Gardens but not sure if that's totally off where she should be?)

3rd and 11th are cool and hip! Moved here this year and found an apartment using an app called “Jinka”. Happy to help any Qs!

I like the 10th and 11th - younger vibe

le marais has pristine vibes. 6th the best imo (lot's happening, charming, intellectual yet chilled vibe)

Depends what her vibes are, Luxembourg is beautiful and peaceful, great for people with an old soul. For her age maybe more happening areas like the 11th/10th, or close to the beautiful parc Buttes Chaumont 19th/20th is also nice, trendy and chic is the centre (3rd/4th marais, quite pricey), 9th is gentrified trendy

6th is great, but for someone on early 20s I’d recommend Le Marais, the area around Canal st Martin, or near Le Bastille

my mom lives near there in the 6th and it’s really convenient and has a ton happening right there but 7th and 16th are more residential/where my Parisian friends grew up
