To me , rayban (read: cool looking) glasses w compute on it is the next gen. Nothing else seems remotely game changing enough. Not even apple watch & AirPods (both hugely successfully line that could be companies on its own) can break free. 

Eyewear + (AI for UI) is the next frontier and im glad TC is pushing the boundaries there
