Watched Emilia Perez 2024 last night, it was so refreshing and bold. An easy 7/10 film.

I really enjoyed the opera and musical aspect of it, definitely bold and fresh. 

I’m a bit less forgiving with the superficiality of the Mexican culture represented and the way-to-easy shortcuts (shortcomings?) in the plot. 

You could argue is opera like story telling and…i guess you would be right 

6.5 and very happy for the /paris impromptu bump up at the movie theater so 7.0 on my books

On the contrary, I totally agree with the storytelling shortcomings. Felt like we ran out of budget and I could see that in the cinematography, where certain scenes looked outstanding, and then suddenly others were amateur and not in a good on purpose way.

Adored the beginning, and not so much the ending.
