People ask, will we ever find life beyond Earth? The universe is vast, with millions of light years between stars. We've only been searching for a relatively short time, covering a tiny fraction of space. Everything we see is the past, even the sun, which we see eight minutes delayed. If intelligent life exists, they might look at Earth and think it's still forming, with no life yet. It's likely that life itself, in simple forms, is abundant.
