I want to get better at sharing my thoughts somewhere. Twitter doesn't feel that productive, or at least my Twitter doesn't, as a place to do it.

You're in the right place. You get more characters per cast than an unpaid twitter account here. If you want to branch into more long form writing, mini apps like Paragraph let your followers experience it without having to jump into a separate browser tab. This is one area where Farcaster is doubling down on, so its definitely worth experimenting with to see if it works for you.
