As someone whoβs not invested in either ecosystem, is being compared to k8s a bad thing? My interpretation is that both have grown to massive products that do everything but your taxes for you.

k8s is great for very large projects (infinitely tunable, etc) - for most project, a good paas (e.g. render) is a much better fit. k8s does not work for you, it's a huge investment to reap its benefits.

Makes total sense. As an outsider NextJS is starting to seem like that. It seems far more than server side rendered React nowadays.
