As Coinbase has shown, it is best to work with regulators rather than around them.

well laws don’t always work and don’t work at all if you’re outside of the borders, it falls onto users to not use it and you can use VPN etc 

so technically I think people are forced to say it’s illegal so that US govt won’t go after Dan or the company for it

and tldr the world just isn’t ready yet for the internet era and what blockchains unlock
