it’s a nice aesthetic. i lived with a roommate in my early 20s who was getting her MFA to be an artist and this was her style. 5-10 years before it became popular. she’d clip the characters from nat geo magazines our place was always stocked with them

How cool is that! I used to flip through those geo magazines as a kid too, they’re packed with many inspirational visuals. 

Did you ever try messing around with any art ideas from those magazines yourself back then?

they are, really cool stuff you wouldn’t expect. 

made art but not with her materials. i would sculpt, do bronze casting, paint, draw, etc but as a hobbyist
