twelve deer live in my neighborhood and in the spring they come out at night to eat and lay in the grass. it’s wonderful

I had a little baby deer get stuck in my backyard during university one summer, finally realized he had a hurt hoof and his mom and siblings had gone on without him 💔 

named him Roger and brought him apples, carrots and lettuce every day until he healed up (and he did!)

one day his mom picked him up, they jumped over the fence and joined his brothers and sisters

cried a bit but was so happy to see it and think of him often 🦌 🥲
