This is the first step of many in what will be a great move for Ethereum: to fund systemically important projects out from under the vast EF umbrella, and into independently sustainable orgs purpose-built to support those projects in perpetuity.

Ofc I am here for it if Vyper is allowed similar treatment, I dont think creating another large umbrella is going to work to well for all EVM language dev

Ethereum benefits greatly from language diversity/friendly competition. Would love to see another successful approach supported with long-term, 5+ yr funding
