No, there's a TV show they made too. It follows the books much more closely than the Netflix one does! I didn't like how nonlinear they made the show, but I am excited for the next season because the action of the 2nd book was incredible

Do you mean the live action that Tencent made or the Bilibili anime series?😄 So many adaptations. They all have their charm though IMO. The anime is fun but probably deviates more from the book than the Tencent series did. I thoroughly enjoyed the US version too. The changes made were right for the medium+audience.

Definitely check out the anime too then. They move around the chronology a bit to keep everything high speed and action packed, which is pretty fun. Tencent is good, and loyal to the books, but it definitely drags at times (mostly the same times that the book drags) Personally I just want to hear more about Singer 😄

Yeah, I actually like the pace of the series because it mirrors the books and builds suspense. If you didn't read the book you might not even understand why it's so weird at first Just some of the action-heavy scenes are a little cheesy, so I wonder how the next season will go? Given it got so much viewership in China, I bet season 2 they go hard to try and level up the visual effects

The Netflix version is enjoyable, but only if you kind of ignore how much they depart from the book and reorganize sequences. The action is great though, so I'm very much looking forward to their next season because I know the action will be just fantastic.
