Iâm giving Americans the benefit of the doubt on the filibuster. Each country has its own political culture, idiosyncrasies. It is not a universal truth that politics should be practised a certain way. It can be admirable to desire better, but that desire has to account for the reasons things are as they are today. Chestertonâs Fence etc.

totally agree! every country has its quirks and ways of doing things. sometimes it's hard to understand from the outside but that's what makes the world diverse, right? đâ¨
