I love to gym and read up on the latest DeFi protocols.

I feel like Etherlink is important, but I struggle to understand the use cases because I do not know what a “roll up” is or what it’s good for. I would love to know if/how Etherlink will help the Tezos ecosystem. Reading the docs has not helped. 😞

Why is Etherlink important to Tezos?

Etherlink makes Tezos accessible to the wider crypto ecosystem as it is EVM compatible, allowing for existing dapps to easily port over. 

And the gas token is $XTZ, we can potentially see significant $XTZ burn.

Besides that, more integrations and easier accessibility to $XTZ.

So it would make existing dApps easy to port over, but would they have any incentive to do so? I like that $xtz will get used for gas. I still have no idea what a roll-up is, though.
